Where Our Pieces Come From, and How We Authenticate Them

Watch Reserves is an independent reseller. We buy watch-house accessories on the secondary market, check every piece before it is listed, and back each sale with a lifetime authenticity guarantee. We are not an authorised dealer of, or affiliated with, any brand we sell. This page explains where our pieces come from and what we do before one reaches you.

Where do your pieces come from?

We acquire pieces through four channels: private collectors, secondary-market dealers, auction and event channels, and individual sellers. Some pieces were originally presented by a watch house to its clients; others were sold at retail and later resold. Where we know the history of a specific piece, we describe it on the listing.

Can I ask about the history of a specific piece?

Yes. Before you buy, email connect@watchreserves.com with the piece you are interested in and we will tell you what we know about where it came from.

How do you authenticate a piece before listing it?

Each piece is compared side by side against reference examples of the same item that were originally issued to clients and are held by collectors we work with. A piece is listed only if it matches.

What if a piece turns out not to be authentic?

We refund it in full, in cash, including shipping in both directions and with no split, however long you have owned it. That is our lifetime authenticity guarantee.

Do you service, refinish or certify pieces?

No. We do not service, repair or refinish pieces and present them as maison-serviced. We do not issue maison certificates, and we do not represent that any maison warranty transfers with a purchase.

Why do you use brand names on the site?

We name the watch house a piece came from because that is what the piece is. It identifies the goods; it does not mean the brand has any relationship with us. All trademarks belong to their owners. See our trademark & affiliation notice.

What happens after I order?

Orders ship within 1–3 business days, fully insured. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, with refunds 85% to the original payment method and 15% as store credit; pieces over $1,000 are final sale. Questions: FAQ or connect@watchreserves.com.
